Our Vision

SPEAK* provides an intentional community within which individuals can find their authentic voice. When approached with creative exuberance and a willingness to engage, SPEAK* gives participants tools to better connect with themselves and others through original artistic work and principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). The safe environment we facilitate encourages exploration, self-expression, and self-affirmation. Using our prompt-based process individuals are empowered to create and share their movement, writing, song, and visual art. Post-program, participants stay connected by their shared experience and move through their world guided by their newfound sense of self and our core SPEAK* values: strength, purpose, empathy, authenticity, and kindness.
