Our Team
Rhonda Freeman
Executive Director and Nonviolent Communication Trainer
Rhonda believes that social change can and does happen person by person. She changes the corporate culture by living NVC in her workplace and in her cohousing community. In her world, social change is a pebble dropped in a pond. We can see where we make a change but after a while not where those changes ripple out. Rhonda is a Certified NVC Trainer, providing intros and other day long workshops.
Jenna Stotts
Board President and Facilitator
Jenna believes in the power of storytelling as a way of connecting people to one another. She has been writing personal stories from the age of twelve and has previous leadership experience with a program for teenage girls. She hopes that SPEAK* programs for any age group will give participants a sense of self-value, new outlets for personal expression, and understanding of others’ points of view. She believes in the mission and values of SPEAK* fiercely and is committed to guiding others to live with those values as well.
Kate Davis
Facilitator
Kate is passionate about sharing the power of movement as a tool for self-expression, connection, and healing. She holds an MA in Studio Dance with a focus in Arts and Community Practice from Florida State University, and she is currently working towards her certification as a dance/movement therapist. She is a mom of five and has a particular interest in working with kids and teens. She’s been working with SPEAK* since 2019. When not facilitating SPEAK*, you can find Kate photographing, singing, baking vegan cookies, or exploring amongst the trees with her family in Black Mountain, NC.
